France e‑invoicing updates Z12 012 and Z12 014
On 31 July, the French e-invoicing framework took another step forward with the publication of new versions of the “Formats and Profiles” standard Z12 012 and the “Use Cases” standard Z12 014. These documents, shaped through the input of more than 200 commission members, reflect both user feedback and technical alignment with ongoing reforms.
The updated Z12 012 standard details the foundational invoice formats and lifecycle statuses, while Z12 014 outlines key use cases applicable to the B2B e-invoicing reform. Two annexes provide clear examples of invoice structures and lifecycle status messages, helping companies and service providers prepare for smooth integration.
In addition, schematrons for invoice control rules will be released in beta on the FNFE website this weekend, offering a valuable tool for testing compliance. Looking ahead, an October update is planned to expand the profiles with new use cases and data, incorporating enhancements from the European norm EN 16931. This will include support for multi vendor invoices and e reporting for B2C transactions.
These updates are critical for organisations aiming to integrate with the French public invoicing portal PPF data concentrator and ensure compliance with upcoming requirements.
